HOW TO CREATE A TEAM LOGO FOR YOUR JERSEY

Your team logo is the visual anchor of your jersey. A well-designed logo elevates a good jersey to a great one. Here's how to create or improve your team logo for jersey printing.

KEEP IT SIMPLE

The most iconic sports logos are simple — think of major cricket or football team emblems. Your logo will be printed at roughly 3-4 inches on a jersey, so fine details get lost. Bold shapes, clear typography, and high contrast work best at small sizes.

DESIGN FOR THE JERSEY, NOT JUST PAPER

A logo that looks great on a white background might disappear on a dark jersey. Design your logo with your jersey's base color in mind. If your jersey is dark, your logo needs light elements (and vice versa). Consider creating two versions — one for light backgrounds and one for dark.

PLACEMENT OPTIONS

Left chest is the classic, professional logo placement — it's where the heart is, symbolically and literally. Center chest placement works for larger logos or text-based team names. Some teams place the logo on the sleeve for a subtle, premium look.

FILE FORMAT MATTERS

For sublimation printing, your logo should be in PNG format with a transparent background at minimum 300 DPI resolution. Vector formats (AI, SVG, EPS) are even better as they can be scaled to any size without quality loss. Avoid JPG logos with white rectangles around them.
